dc.description.abstractThis address is given as the 13th John Curtin Memorial Lecture organised by the Research School of Social Sciences, recorded at the H. C. Coombs Theatre, Australian National University. -- Blewett presents consensus politics as the current Labor platform and policy, contrasting different Liberal and Labor leaders since World War II. He outlines how the agreement and cooperation of consensus politics are essential for the structural changes necessary to achieve economic growth and full employment.
