We have here typical Hoysala Friezes of geese and of makaras and, below them a more curious detail: a woman opens her door to a naga. In the antechamber a porter is seated. In the adjoining room Visnu and Lakshmi are seated on a sofa. A worshipper speaks to them. It may be that this was a domestic scene which was here translated into the religious sphere.
