dc.descriptionVasant, the Hindu Spring comprises the months of Phagun & Chaitra. Here the famous festival of Holi is celebrated during Phagun, the lover's month. The palms of the woman's hands are dyed red with henna. Revellers are shown in the background - the men throwing gulal (red vegetable dye mixed with powdered mica) at each other, & the women are sprinkling coloured water on the men from windows
