Abstract
Recorded at the Leonard Huxley Theatre, 10 October 1985. -- Dr Haynes, a graduate of the University of Western Australia and the Australian National University, is a geological consultant with the Western Mining Corporation. He has worked with a team that has had considerable success in the discovery of concealed economic mineral deposits through the application of basic scientific methods to problems of the geochemical evolution of parts of the crust. His lecture will be illustrated by reference to some of the discoveries for which his group has been responisble.
