Description

This is a crude representation of Hanuman, the monkey god, found on the banks of the Ganges, at Banaras. Hanuman is shown standing on a demon, carrying Rama and Sita on his shoulders, with a war club in one hand and a mountain peak from the Himalayas in the other. (see also slide 138)
