dc.descriptionAurangzeb had scarcely taken possession of his throne in the red Fort, when he expressed the desire to have a personal mosque. Near his apartments he had built a little mosque of the same type as those of his predecessors. Although it is very richly decorated, it lacks ease. The globular domes are too close together. The courtyard is too narrow and entirely enclosed by an austere-looking red sand-stone wall.
