Electrical tuning of dielectric metasurfaces at visible frequencies facilitated by photoalignment of liquid crystals

We experimentally demonstrate the use of photoalignment materials for liquidcrystal based electrical tuning of resonant silicon metasurfaces with a 67% modulation depth at visible frequencies.
