The Reintegrative Shaming Experiment measures a large number of factors which have been predicted by a variety of theoretical perspectives to impact on criminal activity and recidivism. The purpose of this study is to identify the most reliable measures of each concept, which is part of the process of further refining instruments by identifying areas that need further work. It also provides data on the reliability of those items which are finally used in the Reintegrative Shaming Experiment.
