Bakhtinian concept of the chronotope provides a suitable strategy for reading a trilogy that aims to re-present ‘real’ time, place and human beings. The concept also provides a vantage point from where the trilogy can be read both from within the time-space of its main protagonists and from that of its author, readers, performers and spectators.enThe Australian National Universitytheatre, forms of time, time-space, Edvard Radzinskii, “Theatre of the Times”, Mikhail Bakhtin, chronotope, literary narratives, dialogism, novelisation, socialist-realismTheatre of the times of Socrates, Lunin and Nero : Time and space in Edvard Radzinskii’s trilogy ‘Theatre of the Times …’199610.25911/5d7a2ce8148fe
