With Fe(C2Ph)(CO)2(η-C5H5), only [Fe(CO)2(thf)(η-C5H5)][PF6] was obtained. Reactions of the new complexes are characterised by loss of the C7H7 group. The NMR spectra and FAB mass spectra are described in detail.Financial support from the Australian Research Grants Scheme is gratefully acknowledged.
