Strong energy dependence is observed for states above 8 MeV excitation. Coupled-channels calculations, which predict smooth energy variations, give good agreement with the data only for Ex<8 MeV.7en© 1986 The Institute of PhysicsExcitation functions for 24Mg(16O, 16O')24Mg* (O≤Ex≤8.4 MeV) scattering at forward angles198610.1088/0305-4616/12/5/00536149037560
