The bound is independent of any model which may be applied to the multipath field, relying on the field being a solution to the homogeneous Helmholtz wave equation. The bound has implications for the extent and reliability of long-range channel prediction, particularly when the multipath is diffuse. Keywords: Bessel functions; Communication channels (information theory); Error analysis; Extrapolation; Fourier transforms; Integration; Wave equations; Bounds; Long-range channel prediction; Propagation and channel characterization; Spatial extrapolation of multip Bounds; Long-range channel prediction; Propagation and channel characterization; Spatial extrapolation of multipath; Wireless channel modelingBounds on Extrapolation of Field Knowledge for Long-range Prediction of Mobile Signals200410.1109/TWC.2003.8211452015-12-11
