The use of the equivalent shape in effective medium formulations leads to excellent predictions. Thus, the method was illustrated for a sedimentary rock sample. Keywords: Boolean functions; Boundary conditions; Crystal microstructure; Finite element method; Image reconstruction; Laplace transforms; Mathematical models; Morphology; Particle size analysis; Random processes; Table lookup; Three dimensional computer graphics;Reconstructing Complex Materials via Effective Grain Shapes20032015-12-12
