Higuchi, Wakako2022-03-29http://hdl.handle.net/1885/262756To serve as the historical background of SEARCH' s research studies, this paper summarizes the chronological development of the SaipanHarbor and Saduk Tasi seaplane base construction on Saipan Island in the Marianas during the Japanese administration period (1914-1944). This study is based on archive materials of the Japanese Navy and the Nan 'yocho (South Seas Bureau). Although the archaeological project focuses on the Japanese seaplane base area in Puntan Flores, 1 include details of the Saipan Harbor construction project because these works were considered as a series of construction carefully projected by the Japanese Navy. This report was commisioned by Environmental Quality Management Inc and US Environmental Protection Agencyapplication/pdfen-AU© 2016 SEARCHPetroleum Contamination Remediation Project, Saipan CUC 1 & 2 Oil Site, Island of Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands20162020-12-20
