The screen is one of the purest triumphs of skill in the world. Each side of the octagon consists of three marble slabs, worked like lace. Not only are the slabs perforated, but the remaining marble is also sculpted. These screens are held together with marble uprights, richly inlaid with stonework.35mmbook scanMounted transparencyb&wimage/tiffen-AUMughal Architecture-- Agra-- Taj Mahal, Agraarchitecturearchitectural ornamentTaj Mahal: Interior Screen2019-11-06This item is provided for research purposes.
