The proposed composite structure made of AlGaAs exhibits resonant response at both the fundamental and doubled frequencies. Being driven by the strong magnetic dipole resonance at the pump wavelength and a high-quality mode at the harmonic wavelength, the efficient second-harmonic radiation is generated predominantly along the vertical directions under the normally incident plane-wave excitation. This research was funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC), ARC Discovery Early Career Research Fellowship (DE170100250) and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (Grants No. 16-02-00547, 18-02-00381), UNSW Scientia Fellowship and NSFC (No. 11774182, No. 91750204).application/pdfen-AU© 2018 by the authorshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/scatteringsecond-harmonic generationMie resonancenanoantennamultipolar interferenceHighly-efficient longitudinal second-harmonic generation from doubly-resonant AlGaAs nanoantennas2018-09-1710.3390/photonics50300292020-11-23Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license
