In particular, connections between polynomial root-location properties, coefficient properties and Schur-Cohn coefficient properties are established. Lattice realizations of a discrete system and its reduced model are given, which illustrate certain relationships between the original model and its reduced form. These relationships give insight into the validity of the method of reduction and offer insight on the order of approximation.Acknowledgements--The research of E. I.
