Solid Al2I3 samples with 1 mm pore were formed by pressing Al2O3 powder in a specially designed mould. The samples were wrapped with carbon foil and loaded in stainless steel capsules. The porous structure HAp and porous Al2O3 bars shows interconnecting pores of a variety of sizes and interconnectivities.1enCortical bone ingrowth and bonding to solid and porous ceramics200413844256319
