Their properties and spectra (including FAB-MS) are described, and reactions with MeOH, hydride and methoxide are reported. Addition to and protonation, alkylation, and cyclomanganation of the aryldiazo functions are also described. We thank the Australian Research Grants Scheme for partial support of this work; M.G.H. is a holder of a Commonwealth Post-Graduate Research Award.12enReactions of transition metal σ-acetylides.
