The slow soliton, however, shows no polarization conversion. We interpret these results in terms of the previously predicted polarization instability of a fast soliton into orthogonally polarized radiation. The experimental results are in qualitative agreement with theory. Keywords: Light polarization; Optical Kerr effect; Solitons; Fast Kerr spatial solitons; Optical waveguidesRadiation related polarization instability of fast Kerr spatial solitons in slab waveguides200010.1016/S0030-4018(00)01079-82015-12-12
