Multiquasiparticle Nilsson-model calculations based on a fixed shape were performed for 182Os. Experimental data was compared with tilted-axis cranking calculations, supporting the vibrational interpretation. It was proposed that in a well-deformed nucleus at high angular momentum, the γ-vibrational energy can become lower than the rotational energy, albeit with complex admixtures. Keywords: Germanium; Ground state; Isomers; Molecular vibrations; Osmium; Phonons; Spectrometers; Vectors; Angular momentum; Multiphoton vibrations; Multiphoton processesMultiphonon Vibrations at High Angular Momentum in 182 Os20032015-12-08
