Hajek, LuborPhotographer: Arthur Llewellyn Basham2020-08-242020-08-241955C-324http://hdl.handle.net/1885/208178Small tan-p'ing (zhanping) pottery vase, probably from the workshop of the elder Chang brother. It appears to be an imperfect piece, where the neck was damaged during the manufacture and then repaired by the finder or dealer. The earthenware is thin and medium grey in colour. The glaze is thick, even, semi-mat and of a dark grey-blue. The cracks spread net-like over the vessel. -- h: 8.3 cm.35mmslideb&wen-AUChinaceramicsbook scanGeyao vase, Song dynasty2020-08-24This image is provided for research purposes only and must not be reproduced without the prior permission of the Archives Program, Australian National University.
