In humans, GSTO 1-1 is expressed in most tissues and exhibits glutathione-dependent thiol transferase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities characteristic of the glutaredoxins. The crystal structure indicates that GSTO 1-1 has a characteristic GST fold.
