The nuclear reaction Ho165(C12, 4nγ)Ta173 was used to populate these isomeric states, and the recoiling Ta173 nuclei were implanted into a thick tantalum backing in the presence of a 7.04(4) kG external magnetic field. The measured value g(92-) = +0.591(18) shows that the 92- isomeric state is not a pure single-particle state but may have a collective contribution due to the octupole excitation of the core. Based on the measured value g(212-) = + 0.620(15) and multi-quasiparticle calculations, the 212- isomeric state is assigned a mixed configuration: π3{92-[514], 72+[404], 52+[402]} (39%) and π1{72+[404]} ν2{72-[514], 72+[633]} (61%).Nuclear g-factor measurements of the 9/2 - and 21/2 - isomeric states in 173 Ta200610.1103/PhysRevC.74.0343292015-12-07
