Abstract

At the end of the 1960s Austronesian historical linguists felt the onset of a fresh breeze blowing out of Hawaii. The breeze quickly became a strong wind and then grew to gale force, blowing new data, analyses, syntheses, critiques, and other objects across the Austronesian world and beyond
