| dc.description.abstract | Many archaeologists have argued that backed artefacts, or backed 'blades', were used in Australia only during the last 4500 years. We show that those arguments are theoretically flawed and present case studies which demonstrate the manufacture of backed artefacts in the early Holocene. Implications of early Holocene backed artefacts are explored. | en_US |
