Abstract

In this study, an attempt was made to discriminate the different regions of collapse/no-collapse for the nonstationary solutions of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. Exact conditions under which stationary localized states of the equation can exist were determined. In general, the stability of condensates from their particle numbers was determined directly.
