Abstract

This thesis is concerned with aggregate economic measurements and their use in international comparisons . In the first section of this chapter , the existing aggregate monetary indicators will be introduced while , in the second section , the economic concepts that these aggregate indicators are supposed to measure will be described . This will provide a preview of the various problems involved . The third section will then exposit, in the form of an out line of the thesis , how we plan to approach these issues.
