dc.description.abstractView of three men on horseback approaching a two storeyed building with a symmetrical façade and a pillared portico. Two of the riders are in uniform and the third wears a top hat. There is a man attending to a signal mast, a sentry and a sentry box, and a man holding sticks. A number of other buildings in the area are depicted, including a timber house in the foreground and an elaborate structure with rounded roof and many flagpoles in the background.
