We investigate the adiabatic nanofocusing of the fundamental modes in plasmonic parabolic potentials. The potentials are obtained in the metal–dielectric–metal structure, of which the dielectric layer width is modulated quadratically in the horizontal direction and linearly in the longitudinal direction.
