BACKGROUND Retention of a subset of introns in spliced polyadenylated mRNA is emerging as a frequent, unexplained finding from RNA deep sequencing in mammalian cells. RESULTS Here we analyze intron retention in T lymphocytes by deep sequencing polyadenylated RNA.
