Stabilization of Injection-Locked Lasers Using Spatial Mode Interference

The use of tilt-locking (TL) for stabilizing an injection-locked laser was demonstrated. The tradeoff between the misalignment required to produce a suitable error signal and concomitant reduction in the injection-locking range was investigated. This technique was found to be robust and added negligible frequency noise to the injection-locked laser.
