We investigated the utility of near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) as a means of rapidly assaying chemical constituents of Eucalyptus leaves and of directly predicting the intake of foliage from individual trees by greater gliders (Petauroides volans) and common ringtail possums (Pseudocheirus peregrinus).
