Vitamin D and solar ultraviolet radiation in the risk and treatment of tuberculosis
Improved understanding of the association between tuberculosis and vitamin D is needed to inform clinical practice. Vitamin D has both immunostimulatory and immunosuppressive effects relevant to human antimycobacterial responses.
