Small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a smoking-related disease with a poor prognosis. While SCLC is usually initially sensitive to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, responses are rarely long lasting. Frustratingly, most patients ultimately relapse, often with increasingly treatment resistant disease.
