We investigated the structure of the eggshells of the oviparous scincid lizards, Lampropholis guichenoti and L. delicata, and the agamid Physignathus lesueurii. The eggshells of all three species consisted of an outer calcareous layer, a fibrous shell membrane, and an inner boundary layer.
