Competitors at the start of the Iron Man Race, held along the banks of Sullivan's Creek. The winner will have eaten one raw potato, one raw egg, one raw onion and a cold pie with butter and anchovies, washed it down with a glass of tomato sauce, a jug of beer and four nips of miscellaneous spirits including peach and cherry brandy, then swum the creek to carry a beer keg over about 100 metres.
