Electric and magnetic dipole radiation and Purcell effect in hyperbolic metamaterials
We study the radiative decay and Purcell effect for finite-size electric and magnetic dipole emitters placed in an uniaxial medium. For both electric and magnetic dipoles, we find that the radiative rate is strongly enhanced in the hyperbolic regime, when
