A lantern slide advertisement for balloon cord tyres, which were beginning to be made in Australia around 1924. The image consists of a drawing that has been photographically transferred onto glass and then hand coloured. The car and car tyre are presented in the foreground of a wealthy-looking rural setting. In the background are horseriders, one of whom hails the car's arrival. There is also a couple with a dog and another car. On the gable of the house is a sign: LOG HOUSE. The building appears extensive and is decorated with trellis panels. Access is via a timber and tile-roofed gate arch. Below the scene, in a horizontal box is an unfilled-in space for: LOCAL STOCKIST.
