Chronic imipramine downregulates cyclic AMP signaling in rat hippocampus

Cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) are synthesized by adenylate cyclase and guanylyl cyclase and degraded by phosphodiesterases.
