Anchimeric Assistance in Hydrogen-Atom Transfer to Bromine
The free-radical benzylic brominations of series of phenylalanine derivatives and O-phenylalkyi benzoates and N-phenylalkylamides with N-bromosuccinimide exhibit anchimeric assistance by neighbouring ester and amido groups.
