Double Diels-Alder reactions of linear conjugated tetraenes
(Chemical Equation Presented) Linear conjugated tetraenes are shown to participate effectively as bis-dienes in sequences involving either two intermolecular Diels-Alder reactions or an intramolecular followed by an intermolecular Diels-Alder reaction.
