Voltage- and site-dependent control of the somatic impact of dendritic IPSPs

Inhibitory interneurons target specific subcellular compartments of cortical pyramidal neurons, where location-specific interactions of IPSPs with voltage-activated ion channels are likely to influence the inhibitory control of neuronal output.
