Observation of Discrete Vortex Solitons in Optically Induced Photonic Lattices
The discrete vortex solitons in two-dimensional optically induced photonic lattices were investigated. For a variety of input conditions and lattice parameters, the vortex was generated in a self-focusing nonlinear medium. It was observed that vortex experiences discrete diffraction, as more energy of the vortex beam transfers farther away from its center.
