Establishing computed tomography-defined visceral fat area thresholds for use in obesity-related cancer research
Excess visceral adiposity is associated with increased gastrointestinal cancer risk. Evidence suggests that the systemic inflammation and dysmetabolism observed in visceral obesity underpins this association.
