On-chip, tunable, narrow-bandpass microwave photonic filter using stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS)

Description

We report the first demonstration of a narrow-bandpass (∼20MHz), on-chip, tunable, photonic filter for RF signals, using SBS in a chalcogenide waveguide. Extinction ratios of over 20dB for a frequency range of 2-12GHz were realized.
