Description
The Jurassic-Cretaceous (J-K) boundary is poorly constrained, and is the only Phanerozoic system boundary that lacks an internationally accepted reference stratigraphic section (GSSP). Precise radio-isotopic U-Pb data are unavailable for the earliest stage of the Cretaceous- the Berriasian.
