Description

Magnesian basaltic glasses from the Miocene Macquarie Island ophiolite (SW Pacific) are used for understanding the effects of progressive partial melting of the mantle peridotite, and subsequent magma crystallisation and degassing on the composition of mid-ocean ridge basalts.
