Transfer and accommodation in the use of Vietnamese by the Vietnamese community in Australia
The paper intensively studies the socio-linguistic features of Vietnamese as a community language used in the Viet diaspora across Australia. In this research, through the observations on the practical use of the Vietnamese in daily communication, on the media and through the interviews, the author describes and analyzes the functional mechanism of Vietnamese - from code choice, code-switching to integration of the language used among the Viet diaspora.
