Sex determination in the endemic Australian lizard Bassiana duperreyi (Scincidae) is influenced by sex chromosomes and incubation temperature, challenging the traditional dichotomy in reptilian sex determination. Analysis of those interactions requires sex chromosome markers to identify temperature-induced sex reversal.
